Tour itinerary:
Day 1 — Georgetown to Lethem & Central Rupununi
Early-morning check-in at Ogle: Make your own way to Eugene F. Correia International Airport (Ogle) for the regional flight to Lethem. Departure times are subject to airline changes.
Fly to Lethem: Board the regional flight to Lethem, a journey of roughly 1 hour 10 minutes.
Arrival, breakfast & tour briefing: On arrival, meet your driver and transfer to your Lethem accommodation for breakfast. Your guide will brief the group before the day’s activities.
Moco Moco Falls: Travel toward Moco Moco Village, approximately 22 km from Lethem. Walk the famous 999-step concrete staircase, created as part of a historic hydroelectric project, and continue through rainforest scenery toward the falls. Enjoy the views, snacks and time to relax.
St. Ignatius Village: Visit one of the Central Rupununi’s Indigenous communities and learn about Macushi traditions, agriculture, ranching and local craftsmanship. See how cassava is used in everyday life, visit the traditional benab and view locally made crafts when available.
Lethem town & Takutu Bridge:Take a drive through Lethem, the Rupununi’s border town on the Takutu River, and see local landmarks. Continue toward the Takutu Bridge, which links Guyana and Brazil, for a photo stop.
Manari Creek kayaking & paddleboarding: End the day’s activities with a guided paddle on Manari Creek, the highlight of the day. The route begins at Manari Bridge and follows the creek toward the historic Manari Ranch. It takes approximately 1 hour 30 minutes, depending on guide instructions and conditions.
Dinner & overnight: Return to your Lethem accommodation for dinner and rest overnight.
Day 2 — Lethem to Georgetown
Enjoy an early breakfast at your Lethem accommodation.
Transfer to Lethem Airstrip for check-in.
Board the regional flight back to Eugene F. Correia International Airport (Ogle), about 1 hour. Return flights normally leave mid-morning (times subject to change), so you’re back in Georgetown before midday.

- The baggage allowance on the regional flight is 20 lb (about 9 kg) per person. Larger luggage can stay at your Georgetown accommodation.
- This tour stays in Guyana. The Takutu Bridge stop is a photo opportunity only, and the itinerary does not cross into Brazil.
- Bring comfortable walking shoes, light clothing, sunscreen and a change of clothes for the kayaking.
