Frequently Asked Questions
At Nature Travel GY, we know travelers want more than just a vacation — they want connection, comfort, and authenticity.
Here are some of the most common questions guests ask when choosing us for their Guyana experience.
We’re proudly local — owned and managed in Guyana — and every experience we offer is built around authenticity, community, and sustainability. Our tours aren’t copied from a catalog; they’re carefully crafted to reflect Guyana’s true cultural and natural diversity.
Absolutely! Whether you’re a solo traveler, researcher, family, or corporate group, we can tailor tours to match your interests, travel style, and schedule. From private river journeys to cultural and culinary experiences — customization is part of what we do best.
Yes. We design our experiences with flexibility in mind. Some tours are soft and scenic, perfect for families or mature travelers, while others are more adventurous. Let us know your comfort level when booking, and we’ll recommend the right fit.
Not at all. Our guides and coordinators handle logistics, safety briefings, and on-site arrangements so you can simply enjoy the moment. Whether you’re visiting Guyana for the first time or returning home after years abroad, you’ll feel well taken care of.
For day trips, we suggest booking at least 48 hours in advance. For multi-day or cross-border tours (Guyana–Brazil–Suriname), early booking ensures we can secure flights, lodging, and permits.
Typically: transportation, guided experiences, safety gear, snacks or refreshments, and entry fees where applicable. Each itinerary outlines exactly what’s included and what’s optional.
We’ll send a short packing guide before your trip — but essentials often include sunscreen, insect repellent, a reusable water bottle, and comfortable clothing. For some wildlife or research tours, we’ll recommend specific gear.
Yes! We actively support sustainable practices — from reusable bottles to partnering with community-led lodges and local vendors. Every tour contributes to the local economy while minimizing environmental impact.
Safety comes first. If weather or other unforeseen circumstances affect a tour, we’ll offer an alternative date, substitute experience, or refund based on our flexible policy.
Follow and tag us on social media @NatureTravelGY! Guests often share their photos, and we love resharing memories (with permission). You’ll also receive an optional digital feedback form — your voice helps us grow and improve.

The host is extremely nice and friendly. The waterfall is absolutely worth a visit! Beautiful scenery and a great experience overall.
Absolute perfection. From the guide to the driver, every one was polite and veryyy knowledgeable. And don't get me started on what a delight the Guyanese food was. Definitely booking again!
I went to kaieteur and orinduik with Nature Travel Guyana and it was amazing. I was looking for a spot on short notice, Jess was incredibly helpful. There was prompt communication all through the process.Their transport guys are very reliable as-well. Pick-up and drop off went smoothly. I must say, the views were breathtaking‼️
I had an absolutely incredible experience booking a trip to Kaieteur Falls with Nature Travel GY! Even though my request was extremely last-minute (and I was booking for a group of 9!!), the owner was incredibly accommodating and worked tirelessly to coordinate every single detail to make it happen. What really stood out was the communication—she kept me informed at every step of the process, so I never had to wonder about the logistics. The meal provided was absolutely delicious, and as a thoughtful touch, she even brought along extra snacks for us. It was such a kind gesture, and they were just as tasty as the main course! If you’re looking for a professional, seamless, and friendly tour experience in Guyana, I highly recommend Nature Travel GY. They truly go above and beyond for their clients!
I did a trip to Kaieteur Falls with Nature Travel GY and it was an absolutely incredible day. The tour was fantastic and everything was extremely well organised. If I had stayed longer in Guyana I would definitely have made use of the many other tours they have on offer. Jess from NatureTravel was excellent at communicating with us and managed to arrange us places on the flight at remarkably short notice and was extremely determined to make sure we enjoyed our stay as much as possible. The company is relatively new so there aren't a lot of reviews at this point but I would absolutely recommend them! They were the only reason I was able to make it to Kaieteur Falls during my trip and I really appreciate that
